After the printed document is sent to the printing plant, the following process is usually required.
1. The printing plant checks the printed documents.
Usually the PDF file used for printing will be checked to check whether the copyright page, title page, header, footer, bleeding is correct, whether the text has "four colors black" and so on, if so, will return to the designer for modification.
2. Make blue paper or digital sample.
At this time, the printing factory will follow the design of the proofing, according to the order of the book binding, size and other simple binding, and return to the customer to check again, whether there are mistakes. For books with high printing quality requirements such as color, it is usually necessary to print digital samples (four-color samples) to check and proofread picture colors.
3. Print and make rough samples.
At this time, the printing plant will print the printing plate on the machine for batch text printing, cover printing, and production process. The printer will then simply bind the text and the cover together.
4. Bulk binding.
After the book binding is completed, the staff of the warehouse will carry out spot checks on the finished books to ensure the printing quality of the books.
